Compile your lists, load up the shopping bags, gas up the car, and hit the stores!! Black Friday is quickly approaching! Don’t get caught unprepared at the last minute. Here are some tips to help make the biggest shopping day of the year a little easier for you.
First, you must plan ahead. Don’t wait until Thanksgiving night when you’re feeling lazy from all the turkey and pumpkin pie to plan your strategy for the infamous Black Friday. Start planning weeks in advance. Who’s on Santa’s list this year? Decide who you’re buying for and set a monetary limit for each person. Then, jot down a few gift ideas under each person’s name that fit within the established budget. Conquer this step and you’re headed in the right direction!
Once you have your list compiled, make a plan of the stores you will visit. Then, go online and check out store policies. It’s imperative to know each retailer’s policies on refunds, cancellations, returns, etc., in case the recipient of the gift needs to make an exchange or return. In addition, be sure to ask for gift receipts to make this process much easier.
