As we continue with “life unusual,” we want to share with you easy steps you can take to feel good and protect yourself, your family, and your friends.

Relaxing through your senses
How and what relaxing tools can you use?

Relaxing scents: Aromatherapy is a great way to relax. Choose scents such as lavender, lemongrass and do a breathing exercise. Put a small amount of essential oil in the palm of your hands, close your eyes, and then breathe in and breathe out. You can take a one-minute vacation while doing this exercise. You can be in Fiji, Hawaii, the Caribbean or anywhere you would rather be. This exercise is ideal to do any time you feel tense, under pressure, or if you’re having difficulty sleeping.

Visual relaxation: It’s a proven fact that an organized living space that is appealing to the eyes helps you feel good about your surroundings and improves your mood. Your house should always be soothing and calming to the senses. It should not be adding stress to your life. Maybe take some time to declutter and organize your living space to give you peace of mind and provide you happiness at home. Having a fresh orchid is something that we do all the time at our house. For $15, it’s a very small price to pay for having fresh flowers in the house that will last three months.

Tasty treats: Try to always have healthy and tasty treats. Summertime is ideal for eating more fresh fruits to keep you healthy and keep you away from fatty treats. Get the blender out and make tasty treats for the entire family. See the recipe below.
