Recipe for Poppy Seed Chicken Salad

We love this recipe for school lunches and work, too. If you don’t want the pasta, simply take it out and make it into a sandwich! So versatile.


  • 2 cups fusilli (spiral) pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken
  • 6 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup poppy seed salad dressing


  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook pasta in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until cooked through but firm to the bite, 12 minutes;
  3. drain, rinse in cold water, and drain again.
  4. Toss pasta, chicken, onion, cranberries, celery, and almonds together in a salad bowl;
  5. drizzle with poppy seed dressing and stir to coat.
